Investment Banking Associate 1/2 Life Sciences/Biopharma M&A (Elite Boutique)

Our client, a prestigious elite boutique investment bank, is actively seeking an Associate 1/2 for their life-sciences team in San Francisco. This brand name investment bank offers a key role within an experienced team. No H1Bs, Stem-OPTs or other visas at this time. RIFs ok. The successful candidate will support senior bankers in executing M&A and financing transactions across the life sciences sub-sector. This position provides direct exposure to CEO, CFO, and Board level contacts, along with significant responsibility and advancement opportunities. Ideal candidates will have previous life sciences and biopharma investment banking experience at the Associate level. Primary Responsibilities: Participate in client transactions, projects, and assignmentsInteract with clients, internal banking teams, and product teamsAssist in preparing presentations and marketing materials (e.g., CIM, Management Presentations)Conduct valuation analyses and financial modeling of clients and targetsReview business plans, conduct research, and analyze financial statementsManage due diligence processes, including virtual data room preparation and counterparty Q&A Required Qualifications: 3+ years of investment banking experience, preferably in life sciences investment banking related transactionsStrong financial modeling and analytical skills, including knowledge of financial accountingBS or BA in finance or similar field with an exemplary academic recordOutstanding written and oral communication skillsHigh motivation, energy, and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, meritocratic, team-oriented environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office This role offers an excellent opportunity for a driven professional to advance their career in healthcare investment banking within a prestigious middle market firm.
