About the M&A Group
The New York-based Investment Banking group works across industry sectors with a primary focus on M&A transactions. The team is directly involved in the design, origination, structuring, and execution of mergers and acquisitions, including buy-side, sell-side, and other strategic advisory mandates for both existing and prospective clients.

Responsibilities
- Conduct extensive quantitative economic, industry, and company research and analysis
- Draft and prepare pitch books with detailed industry materials
- Conduct and model a broad range of corporate finance alternatives and due diligence for buy-side, sell-side, and other strategic advisory mandates
- Build financial models, valuation, and comparable/relative value analyses, including DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, LBO, and merger combination models
- Facilitate idea generation and solutions development across groups firmwide
- Develop and prepare client presentations and materials with a focus on quality, accuracy, and timeliness
- Assist in the evaluation, preparation, due diligence, and execution of M&A transactions
- Assist in the development and continued cultivation of client relationships
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of investment banking, corporate finance, and M&A experience with a top-tier investment bank, OR an MBA concentrating in Finance with post-MBA investment banking experience at a top-tier investment bank
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, securities, financial markets, and risk & pricing analysis
- M&A investment banking experience a strong plus
- Aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative ideas and solutions
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Maturity and good judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Creativity and intellectual curiosity
- Ability to work independently while remaining an effective team contributor
- Proficiency with FactSet, CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, and Microsoft Office
- Series 79 & 63 required

Pay
Base salary range: $175K–$225K, based on relevant skills, training, experience, and education. Discretionary performance-based bonus.
