About the Program

Full-time new hires will start in a two-year Investment Banking Development Program commencing in July 2027. The program is designed as a career accelerator to foster the next generation of investment banking talent. Participation requires in-person attendance at your assigned location in the continental United States, in accordance with Capital One’s hybrid working model and team-specific attendance standards.

At Capital One, our Commercial Banking group services a $70+ billion loan portfolio and more than 6,100 clients. The Capital Markets team spans several lines of business, including Debt & Equity Capital Markets, Structured Products, Loan Syndications, Derivatives, and Mergers & Acquisitions, with two leading Investment Banking platforms: TripleTree (healthcare) and KippsDeSanto, Co. (aerospace, defense & government).

The program awards a full-time Analyst position within one of the following lines of business: Derivatives, Financing, KippsDeSanto, or TripleTree. It offers hands-on, technical, and market-oriented training, exposure to leaders, and guidance to help transition from college to the workplace. You’ll engage in challenging projects, client interaction, and broad product exposure to grow your competencies and establish leadership in the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Create client marketing presentations, memoranda, and other materials
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of investment banking products and services
  • Conduct industry and market research
  • Prepare and analyze historical and projected financial performance
  • Assist in the preparation of valuation models
  • Work closely with Capital One’s relationship bankers and Underwriting teams to provide Capital Markets insight and deepen the product and/or advisory suite for clients

Requirements

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor’s degree or higher with completion expected by July 2027 or earlier
  • At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization or provide immigration-related support for this position (e.g., H1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, TN, E-3, O-1, or other forms of work authorization requiring employer support)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Major in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or Data Science
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
  • Knowledge of general accounting and finance principles
  • Passion for the financial markets and the economy
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environment

Pay

The full-time annual salary for this role is:

  • New York, NY: $110,000
  • Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, with the actual salary reflected in the offer letter.

This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
