Investment Banking Analyst/Associate, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
About the role
PKP Investment Banking is seeking an Analyst or Associate to join its M&A advisory practice. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing firm that supports a private equity-backed platform. Successful candidates will play a crucial role in middle-market M&A transactions.
Responsibilities
- Aid in preparing financial and valuation models and other financial analyses
- Support the creation of client presentations, pitch materials, and other marketing documents
- Conduct industry research to identify key trends, potential buyers, and acquisition targets
- Facilitate due diligence processes, coordinating with internal teams, other advisors, and clients
- Manage various aspects of deal execution from origination to closure
- Assist senior bankers in business development efforts and support all aspects of the transaction process
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables, adhering to internal and client deadlines
Requirements
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build relationships
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with financial modeling experience
- Strong project management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Must be able to work in the office a minimum of 3 days per week
- 4-year degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or MBA from a top-tier business school
- Minimum of two years of Investment Banking or Transaction Advisory Services work experience
- Series 63 and 79 licenses
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
Compensation & Benefits
The annual compensation range for this role is $75,000 to $140,000. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.
