Investment Analyst, OCIO Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as main point of contact for trade communication with asset managers and hedge fund firms as well as custodians for all executed orders
  • Prepare and complete as needed all transaction forms and understand all pertinent deadlines associated with transactions including fund notification periods, liquidity parameters, and cash needs
  • Responsible for monitoring capital calls and distributions and ensuring payments are made or received
  • Provide support for estimated valuation and proxy pricing for alternative asset classes
  • Work on process improvements to improve the operational workflow of the team
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of all activity for each account including all subscription documentation, trade history, and client documents
  • Prepare cash reconciliations to support the trading process
  • Reconcile positions to ensure all portfolios are accurate at the beginning of the trading day
  • Aid the OCIO Team in special projects as needed
  • Job Qualifications

    • Highly detail-oriented, a self-starter with strong organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities
    • Able to identify red flags and raise questions as appropriate and able to work in a deadline driven environment
    • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
    • The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, interfacing with personnel at all levels inside and outside of NEPC
    • Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
    • Experience in portfolio accounting and order management systems preferred
    • College degree or equivalent experience required
    • Demonstrated curiosity to learn, entrepreneurial spirit with an interest in being part of a fast-growing team is a plus

    Compensation

    The base salary for this role is $62,000 - $81,000 per year with an additional annual performance bonus. Individual compensation is based on a variety of factors, including experience, education, certifications, location, responsibilities of the role, internal equity and alignment with market data.
