Investment Analyst
About the role
The Investment Analyst provides crucial research and due diligence findings regarding external investment managers to the Wealth Management Investment Management Council and the leadership of Wealth Management. The role involves developing efficient portfolios and portfolio models with differing risk profiles for Wealth Management clients and prospects, as well as presenting recommendations on managers and portfolios to the Asset Management Council and the Director of Research. The analyst also prepares communications to inform Portfolio Managers about investment manager selections, portfolio construction, and tactical changes.
Responsibilities
- Perform research and due diligence on external investment managers.
- Conduct regular manager searches for a variety of asset classes and vehicles.
- Contact fund and manager firms for updates on strategies and performance.
- Present findings and recommendations to the Asset Management Council and Wealth Management leadership.
- Develop efficient portfolios and models for different objectives across the risk spectrum.
- Document findings for compliance and audit purposes.
- Communicate portfolio and manager information to Portfolio Managers in the field.
- Review non-approved assets received in-kind on new accounts.
- Perform annual reviews on non-approved assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Graduate degree preferred.
- Preferred certifications: Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) or CFA candidate.
- 6+ years of investment experience with an emphasis on manager research.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Conditions of Employment
Must be able to pass a criminal background and credit check. This is a full-time, non-remote position. FLSA Status: Exempt.
Pay
USD $72,892.00 - USD $87,329.00 per year.
