Investment Advisor, CFP®
About the Role
Deschutes Investment Consulting LLC, an independent SEC Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firm, is seeking an experienced and relationship-driven Senior Investment Advisor, CFP® to join its growing Portland office. Founded in 1997, the firm manages approximately $2.5 billion in client assets and operates as a collaborative, team-oriented environment. This role offers the opportunity to work with high-net-worth individuals, executives, and business owners, delivering comprehensive financial planning and investment guidance.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary advisor for an assigned group of wealth management and financial planning clients
- Build and deepen client relationships through exceptional service and strategic financial guidance li>Collaborate with senior financial planning professionals on complex planning engagements
- Support business development efforts through referrals, professional relationships, and personal networks
- Promote the firm’s full suite of advisory and planning services to prospective and existing clients
- Partner with the wealth management team to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new clients
- Work collaboratively across the organization to support client needs and overall team success
- Provide support to other members of the Deschutes team as needed
- Contribute ideas and participate actively in a highly collaborative office culture
- Maintain proficiency with key systems and platforms, including Charles Schwab, eMoney, Orion, Wealthbox, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Maintain required continuing education standards for CFP® and licensing requirements
- Participate in company-sponsored conferences, training, and educational events
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Investment Advisor or in a comparable advisory role
- Active Series 65 license
- CFP® designation required li>Experience working with high-net-worth clients, executives, and business owners
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial planning software such as eMoney (or similar platforms)

Pay
Compensation Range: $100,000 – $150,000+ first-year compensation, depending on experience, with significant upside tied to revenue growth and firm success.
