About the role
A boutique, planning-focused wealth management firm on Long Island is seeking an experienced Wealth Advisor to join its advisory team. This is a strong opportunity for a relationship-driven CFP advisor who enjoys working closely with established clients, leading planning conversations, and delivering a highly personalized client experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as lead advisor for approximately 80–100 established client relationships
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with affluent and high-net-worth clients
- Lead client review meetings, planning conversations, and ongoing advisory discussions
- Provide financial planning, retirement planning, investment, and wealth management guidance
- Cook up with internal and external specialists on estate, trust, and tax planning needs
- Manage qualified referral-based prospective client opportunities
- Partner with the advisory and client service teams to deliver a high-touch client experience
- Identify opportunities to deepen existing relationships and expand planning engagement
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a Wealth Advisor, Financial Advisor, Private Wealth Advisor, Financial Consultant, or similar client-facing advisory professional
- “CFP” — “Certified Financial Planner” required
- Experience serving affluent, high-net-worth, or private wealth clients
- Strong financial planning, client relationship management, and presentation skills
- Polished, personable, professional, and comfortable working with families across generations
- Comfortable working onsite 5 days per week in Hauppauge, NY
- Existing client relationships are welcomed but not required
- Deep trust, estate, or tax planning expertise is helpful but not required, as specialist support is available
