About the role

The Investment Adviser Representative (IAR) / Financial Planning Advisor will work directly with existing clients and referrals to identify retirement planning, investment management, wealth accumulation, income planning, and insurance opportunities. This position focuses on helping clients create and implement comprehensive financial strategies while coordinating closely with our insurance team to deliver a holistic planning experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct retirement planning and comprehensive financial review appointments
  • Analyze existing investment accounts, retirement plans, and annuities
  • Evaluate client goals, objectives, and risk tolerance
  • Develop customized financial planning recommendations
  • Present advisory solutions and investment strategies
  • Absorb clients with retirement income planning and wealth preservation strategies
  • Discuss legacy planning and long-term financial objectives
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Conduct ongoing portfolio and financial plan reviews
  • Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the client lifecycle
  • Deliver exceptional client service and communication
  • Maintain high client retention through proactive planning and support
  • Generate planning opportunities from current insurance clients
  • Collaborate with insurance producers on cross-referral opportunities
  • Participate in client appreciation events, educational workshops, and seminars
  • Develop centers of influence with attorneys, accountants, and other professionals
  • Expand relationships through referrals and introductions

Requirements

  • Active Series 65 registration
  • Active Series 6 registration
  • Minimum 2 years of advisory, financial planning, or investment experience
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • CRM proficiency
  • Ability to work independently while following established processes
  • Professional presentation and consultative approach

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $42,000–$70,000 annually, depending on experience, licensing, and qualifications
  • Advisory Revenue Compensation: 30% payout on first-year managed revenue, 35% payout after reaching annual production thresholds
  • Revenue-sharing opportunities on advisory fees
  • Additional compensation for life insurance and annuity production
  • Performance Incentives: Bonus opportunities tied to: Assets Under Management (AUM) growth, Client retention, Advisory production, Planning activity metrics

  • Complete onboarding and compliance training

  • Conduct 25 financial reviews
