Core Responsibilities

  • Perform routine investment accounting activities and day-to-day cash management following established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure investment activity and cash are being reported correctly.
  • Monitor internal and external daily cash positions for multiple companies to ensure adequate liquidity to cover cash commitments (mortgage loans, investments, large upcoming movements, etc.).
  • Resolve issues related to the banking portal (fake checks, check voided in the past, etc.).
  • Other related duties.

Qualifications

  • General knowledge of the principles, processes, and practices related to accounting and finance.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) and moderate knowledge of Excel and investment software (Clearwater analytics, a plus).
  • Moderate proficiency in interpersonal, communication, verbal, written and customer service skills.
  • General analysis, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with internal control procedures and maintenance of evidence of controls.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to manage time and set priorities.
  • Ability to access, utilize, and appropriately disclose individually identifiable information to perform specific functions of the position in accordance with Company policies and procedures, and as required by law.
  • Internship or prior experience, a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field. Combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Progression towards and/or interest in pursuing a CPA, MBA, or CFA, a plus.
