About the role

Join Henderson Products Inc., located in Kenvil, NJ! We are the North American leader in the design, manufacture and up fit of multi-purpose equipment for heavy-duty work trucks specializing in snow and ice control and “Keeping America’s Roads Safe!” Day Shift Hours: 6am to 4:30PM - Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Support inventory operations by receiving, storing, tracking, and distributing materials to ensure accurate inventory and a consistent flow of production.
  • Apply sound judgment to validate counts, resolve documentation discrepancies, and escalate only what truly requires it.
  • Receive and put away complex inventory items (e.g., hydraulics packages, large purchased parts), label parts, and assign/confirm bin locations before storage.
  • Use powered equipment to unload and store inventory operating up to full mast height, following safety procedures and exercising sound judgment around equipment operation.
  • Move and store large municipal truck attachments (plows, dump bodies, spreaders) using appropriate powered equipment and rigging, recognizing when to ask for guidance before proceeding.
  • Operate outside in inclement weather while maintaining safety, focus, and consistent productivity — demonstrating reliability and personal discipline regardless of conditions.
  • Maintain yard standards without waiting to be directed.
  • Release shop orders, print shop paperwork, create clipboards, and pull/issue parts to build job carts, managing time effectively to keep pace with production schedules and anticipate needs before they become urgent.
  • Ship material (parcel and LTL) using prescribed systems, completing all required documentation with accuracy and without prompting and manage each shipment from start to close with accountability and attention to detail.
  • Respond to inventory requests from the shop floor in a timely manner, communicating clearly about availability, location, or delays and ensuring all communication is proactive rather than reactive.
  • Lead routine cycle counts and inventory audits, researching and correcting discrepancies in the system with confidence and thoroughness.
  • Use email and system tools to receive direction, communicate task status, and document issues — building the habit of clear, professional communication from day one and closing the loop on issues with minimal oversight.
  • Follows standard work and job aids closely and communicates proactively when conditions differ from the expected example rather than guessing.
  • Manages their own time within assigned tasks and uses good judgment about when to ask for help versus proceed independently.
  • Develops trust with Inventory Technician II and Inventory Technician Lead staff through consistent follow-through, clear communication, and a reliable work ethic.
  • Demonstrates strong time management and prioritization skills, independently balancing competing tasks without requiring direction on sequencing.
  • Exercises sound judgment and decision-making on common issues (negative inventory, no primary bin, receiving/invoicing mismatches), escalating only when a situation is genuinely complex or systemic.
  • Communicates proactively and professionally with the Lead and cross-functional partners, flagging risks early and offering solutions rather than just surfacing problems.
  • Informally supports Inventory Technician I employees through mentorship and modeling — demonstrating patience, clarity in communication, and a coaching mindset.
