Schedule
Wednesday - Saturday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Pay
$22.50 per hour
About the role
The Inventory Specialist maintains inventory accuracy and control within the warehouse and SAP system. This role investigates and resolves inventory discrepancies during daily cycle counts, ensuring bin-level to ERP accuracy. Cross-functional collaboration with warehouse operations, supply chain planning, and finance is required to uphold overall inventory integrity.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update inventory records in SAP.
- Perform daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy at the bin level.
- Investigate root causes of discrepancies and apply corrective actions.
- Generate reports on count accuracy, bin accuracy, empty bins, and capacity.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in the warehouse.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects; report damage to supervisors.
- Receive and count stock items; record data manually or via computer program.
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
- Verify inventory by comparing physical counts; investigate or adjust discrepancies.
- Dispose of damaged or defective items or return them to vendors per identified process.
- Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock.
- Keep records on the use or damage of stock or stock-handling equipment.
- Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and facility capabilities.
- Prepare products, supplies, or equipment for use by adjusting, repairing, or assembling as necessary.
- Available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Support physical inventory audits within company standards.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- At least one (1) year of experience in a warehouse environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Understanding of OSHA safety rules for warehouse work.
- Must pass a drug screen and background check.
