About the role
The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of curators, educators, and administrators dedicated to advancing the field of art museum curation through innovative programming, research, and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement exhibitions and educational programs that align with the museum's mission and vision.
- Research and select artworks for acquisition and exhibition, ensuring they contribute to the museum's collection goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and execute public programs, including lectures, workshops, and tours.
- Conduct scholarly research and writing related to the museum's collections and exhibitions.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the curatorial department, including budgeting and personnel management.
- Represent the museum at professional conferences and symposiums, and engage with the broader art community.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Art History, Museum Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in curatorial work, preferably in a museum setting.
- Proven ability to manage projects from conception to completion, including budgeting and personnel management.
- Strong research skills and the ability to write effectively for both academic and public audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to travel as needed for professional development and outreach activities.
Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in digital curation, international curatorial practice, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the arts.

$80,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
