Position Summary
The Inventory Specialist II will support the Repair Depot team in ensuring inventory requirements are met, parts are available for customer-owned firearms, and other needs such as inventory control, processing serial numbers, and ordering supplies for the repair depot.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Request, receive, and stock inventory needed to support service repairs and elective services for SIG SAUER customers.
- Store inventory in a manner that is safe and protects from rust.
- Participate in weekly inventory end of life meetings to discuss inventory positions for end-of-life products.
- Process serialized scrap and used guns inventory work orders.
- Maintain advanced recordkeeping of inventory ordered and received. Identify inventory demands for new product releases.
- Perform cycle counts.
- Maintain working log of parts ordered, received, and other information needed to ensure demands and requests have been met and received.
- Identify inventory positions and reorder points. Maintain stock levels.
- Order tools and supplies.
- Research and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Create and maintain labels for inventory bins.
- Maintain reserve inventory levels.
- Help in identifying errors with nonconforming inventory and counts.
- Work with supporting warehouses, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve issues.
- Assist Repair Depot team members with questions or concerns with inventory needs.
- Engage in and actively volunteer for Continuous Improvement projects and tasks.
- Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
- Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
- Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
- May be required to work in other functional areas and/or facilities depending on business needs.
- May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Education/Experience & Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent required, related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Typically requires 2-3 years of previous work experience in logistics or inventory control.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel as well as Agile and Oracle.
- Advanced understanding of Oracle and Agile.
- Communicate effectively to supervision regarding problems and corrective action.
- Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, in English, both verbally and in written form.
- Ability to maintain written communication with internal stakeholders.
