About the role
Be the primary liaison and communication connection between our manufacturing teams and suppliers. Coordinate with the Material and Operations team to support all supply chain activities for the PSD Division. The individual will be responsible for all supply chain activities in the PSD division, including continual involvement with suppliers and collaboration on ITW Strategic Sourcing Initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with suppliers and customer service to expedite shipments as needed for the business.
- Support activities related to procurement, storage, and shipment of raw materials.
- Issue POs/releases to suppliers.
- Conduct cycle counts.
- Manage and implement ECO’s while minimizing impact to Manufacturing.
- Manage NCN’s and coordinate the disposition of rejected materials with suppliers.
- Effectively communicate and resolve quality and delivery issues with suppliers to prevent reoccurrence.
- Responsible for maintaining MOH goals as well as limiting the non-"active" inventory.
- Support maintenance of MRD systems.
- Participate in material management improvement projects (80/20, flow principles, MRD, PLS, etc).
- Work collectively within the PSD Materials Team to identify, implement, and maintain best practices within our businesses.
- Back up team members for vacation days and work with the team on vacation scheduling.
- Lead relevant materials projects as needed.
- Ability to read bill of material (BOM), assembly drawings, and prints.
Requirements
- Associate degree or actively pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, or related education.
- Previous materials or supply chain experience required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision at times.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships within the division and externally.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented.
- Strong computer skills; proficiency in Magic, Macola, Windows, Word, Excel, and Intranet required.
- Ability to meet deadlines as assigned.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
