Inventory Specialist
About the role
As an Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for managing Alto Pharmacy’s inventory at a pharmacy location, ensuring that medications are properly stocked, tracked, audited, and replenished. You will work closely with the pharmacy team to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure smooth pharmacy operations.

Inventory Specialists work cross-functionally across operations, inventory g, and other supply chain teams to build a better, more intuitive community pharmacy from the ground up. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all inventory management is performed daily, weekly and monthly but not limited to the following tasks: vendor check-in, daily cycle count, drug putaway, ancillary organization and ordering, supplies ordering, automation replenishment, invoice reconciliation, variance investigations, recalls, expired medication management, and any required inventory functions specific per site.
- Analyze on a daily basis to draw insights on actions that need to be taken to meet inventory health goals, and recommend new reports and processes to improve inventory management processes.
- Support the Pharmacy team front-line needs, as needed.
- Manage purchasing related tasks for your site or region as required to meet our business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Licensure: An active pharmacy technician license in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy of the state where you are applying, free of any disciplinary actions.
- Industry Experience: 2+ years experience working in a high volume pharmacy working with patients and providers.
- Onsite Requirement: Must be able to commute to and work at the pharmacy location during scheduled shifts.
- Ability to learn and operate a new pharmacy management system and other relevant programs.
- Ability to interpret, transcribe, and troubleshoot prescription information.
- Ability to perform common math calculations.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and providers on the phone.
