About the role
Cold Spring Brewing is a leader in contract beverage production, serving customers nationwide from its state-of-the-art facilities in the Southeast, Southwest, and Midwest. This opportunity involves assisting in the documentation, oversight, and control of finished goods inventory, raw materials, and ingredients.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of customer-scheduled production across all variety pack lines.
- Ensure materials are at the correct locations before production starts.
- Verify production numbers upon run completion and address any discrepancies.
- Work cross-departmentally to troubleshoot inventory variances, deficiencies, and other issues.
- Communicate with the Shipping and Production teams for ongoing training, troubleshooting, and updates.
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues requiring additional consumption of subs and raw materials for finished goods creation.
- Verify clerical computations against physical counts and adjust errors or investigate discrepancies.
- Evaluate and address issues with finished goods LPNs coming off the line during VP Production runs.
- Resolve issues and escalate them to the System Administrator for resolution.
- Aid VP Production with variance reporting of finished goods and raw materials.
- Notify Accounting of ready VP Production orders for invoicing to customers.
- Resolve issues with missed scans and report them in a timely manner.
- Avoid impacting VP Production-related issues affecting other departmental operations.
- Assist VP Production with documentation and inventory control tasks.
- Coordinate and perform regular inventory counts of raw materials and finished goods as required.
- Update discrepancies in ERP system and issue new tags/reprint tags.
- Document discrepancies to facilitate disciplinary actions.
- Set up and control the FEFO Inventory System to ensure uninterrupted flow of product and materials.
- Combine partial pallets according to customer requirements.
- Analyze and handle damaged product.
- Follow proper destruction procedures.
- Perform month-end physical inventories and additional reporting as required.
- Support other departments as needed.
- Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and quality production standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in a blending or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of using Outlook, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and customer portals.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Regular use of computers, writing, and filing records.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP or other inventory management systems.
- Experience with GMP and/or HACCP regulations.
- 3-5 years’ warehouse/forklift experience.
