Inventory Servicer- Nights

About the role

The primary purpose of the job is to move inventory within the factory. The role involves operating industrial tractors, following department schedules, maintaining stock locations, weighing and affixing identification to products, checking stock, assisting in taking inventory, loading and unloading trucks and trailers, dumping scrap containers, observing for damaged materials and products, reporting needed maintenance, verifying counts and paperwork, and supporting team objectives.

Responsibilities

• Get job instructions
• Move parts and materials to and from designated areas, operating industrial tractors such as fork lift
• Follow instructions according to department schedule to maintain smooth production flow
• Maintain stock location system
• Weigh parts and materials
• Affix identification to products
• Make stock checks
• Assist in taking inventory
• Verify and complete necessary paperwork
• Load and unload trucks and trailers
• Dump scrap containers
• Observe for and report damaged materials and products, needed maintenance, material shortages and items needing back ordered
• Verify counts, part numbers, etc.
• Keep work station in order
• Observe all safety rules
• Support team objectives
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be able to perform production jobs well
• Must be able to work a weekend schedule
• Must be able to work overtime as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Current Forklift License or ability to get a forklift license
• Valid Driver’s License
• May not have more than two moving violations in the last three years
