Inventory Planner (Onsite)
What You Will Do
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Component Solutions team in Muskegon, Michigan as an Inventory Planner. In this role, you will forecast inventory requirements using analytical tools to support aftermarket demand and internal customer needs. You will also develop and execute inventory plans to achieve targeted investment levels, inventory turns, and service-level key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities
- Support all Entry into Service (EIS) activities and aftermarket product improvement initiatives in collaboration with Programs, Supply Chain, and Front-Line Support teams
- Forecast inventory requirements utilizing analytical tools to meet aftermarket as well as internal customer needs
- Aid in ongoing profit assurance forecasting and development of analytics for ongoing inventory forecast accuracy
- Approve and manage purchase orders for inventory procurement and repaired material in line with operational requirements
- Strategically optimize global inventory positioning to meet customer expectations for in-region support
- Develop inventory plan to ensure investments, inventory turns and service level key process indicators are achieved
- Proactively seek out opportunities for process improvement
- Adhere to inventory budgets and initiatives
- Identify and action inventory shortages and excess on a regular basis
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory planning, B2B customer service/sales, and/or supply chain/procurement experience, OR an Associate’s Degree and minimum of 7 years of prior relevant experience, OR in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience
Qualifications We Prefer
- Prior experience with SAP Materials Management
- Working knowledge of or previous experience with Microsoft Power BI
- Previous experience utilizing data analytics to drive decision making is preferred
