Position Summary
The Inventory Planner is responsible for monitoring and analyzing inventory levels for International direct and indirect markets to ensure the right products are available at the right time. Collaborating with the supply chain team to ensure safety stock levels are accurate and inventory is accurately balanced and allocated across the organization.
Essential Functions
- Monitoring inventory levels across international distribution centers
- Identify future risks
- Collaborating with Supply Chain to set safety stock levels
- Introduce process improvement initiatives to the inventory management system and other related business processes which help to drive efficiencies, reduce operating costs and increase inventory accuracy
- Create ad-hoc analysis to identify and react to current and future business trends
- Analyze inventory turns to reallocate and rebalance excesses across distribution sites
- Determine inventory allocation
- Monitor performance in line with global key performance indicators and company goals
- Adhere to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
- Ensure Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
- Represent the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or similar field preferred
- Minimum two years’ experience in supply chain planning
- Strong planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; willingness to be flexible and to adapt quickly to changes
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Customer-oriented, pro-active and can-do mentality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite- Strong in Excel and other analytic reporting tools
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytic skills with the ability to formulate conclusion through reporting
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with good interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work in an international environment
Physical Demands
- Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Required to possess specific visons abilities, including: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focus
