About the role
This position is responsible for setting, delivering, and stocking product while maintaining overall program presentation at customer facilities. The Inventory Management Representative manages onsite and remote CPS Program operations, ensuring best-in-class service standards. Core responsibilities include maintaining inventory levels, direct customer interaction, adherence to safety standards, internal communication, and issue escalation.
Responsibilities
- Accurately stock product for multiple customer programs by filling or swapping product bins in customer locations, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
- Transport product to customers as necessary.
- Drive program growth through setup of new customer programs, expansion of existing programs, and forwarding opportunities to appropriate departments.
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels using VMI platforms and equipment to place orders when necessary; review open orders.
- Maintain expert knowledge of program systems and operations.
- Maintain equipment, a clean and organized workspace, and professional customer interaction standards, including appearance.
- Actively communicate with internal and external stakeholders; resolve issues impacting customer programs or service levels.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, customer programs, and communication.
- Comply with all organizational policies and procedures, including internal and customer safety standards.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years of material handling or warehouse experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in driving or customer management.
- Valid driver’s license, current DOT Medical Certificate (or ability to obtain one), and compliance with Fleet Policy driver selection requirements.
- Must maintain a clean driving record and be at least 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle.
- Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds regularly.
- Capability to stand for up to 8 hours a day to perform duties.
- 100% nearby daily travel required.
- Work is performed in customer facilities under varying conditions, including summer and winter driving conditions.
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational departments.
- Ability to solve practical problems and build positive customer relationships.
- Respond promptly to customer needs, solicit feedback, and manage difficult customer situations effectively.
