Inventory Management Attendant

About the role

Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the US. Ryder Warehouse Associates work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment. Products being handled include inbound products such as bolts, cables, reels, wires, anchors, etc. Equipment used includes stand-up and sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supporting standard facility Key Performance Indicators (KPI) which consistently meet/exceed established goals in safety, quality, sanitation and maintenance
• Create and maintain daily dock schedules
• Communicate with carriers regarding setting appointments and updating load statuses
• Work closely with Operations Supervisor to ensure the work load is being distributed properly and evenly by managing WMS down to the floor
• Work closely with the inventory department and on-site personnel to resolve problems with the day's orders
• Interact with the customer to communicate order changes and updates
• Maintain various Excel spreadsheets and reports
• Perform other duties as required or assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years warehouse experience
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel)
• Working knowledge of WMS systems
• Forklift experience
• Equipment certification may be required, depending on location
• Must have a valid Driver's License and the ability to meet Ryder's driving qualifications
• Must have a clean driving record and a personal vehicle and travel within the area approximately 25-50% of the day
• Strong technical aptitude which includes using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, scanners and entering orders into a WMS System
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Must be able to work both indoors and outside
