Inventory Cost Accountant

What You'll Do

• Work with operation inventory control teams to coordinate cycle count programs across all warehouses/locations
• Maintain inventory accuracy to enable regular financial reviews by Tesla executives
• Review inventory reconciliations and flux analysis related to all inventory worldwide, including raw material, WIP, 3PL management, and in-transit
• Provide monthly/quarterly direction on requirements of cycle count programs and recommend physical inventory counts
• Reconcile all assigned general ledger accounts
• Support the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure accurate tracking of inventory and appropriate inventory levels
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve inventory processes and systems

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience (CPA preferred)
• Minimum 3-4 years' experience in Accounting, with relevant experience in inventory and COGS analysis or audit
• Knowledge of supply chain, receiving, inventory flow, operations process, and manufacturing principles
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent Excel skills and the ability to manipulate and analyze large amounts of data
• Knowledge of SQL
• Analytically strong with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex accounting challenges
