About the role

As an Inventory Coordinator I at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll contribute to global healthcare and scientific advancement. In this role, you'll ensure accurate inventory management for critical materials that help our customers make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You'll perform essential inventory control functions including cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and inventory movements while maintaining compliance with quality standards and operating procedures. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate records, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper storage of materials ranging from pharmaceutical supplies to laboratory essentials. Responsibilities

  • Perform cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and inventory movements
  • Maintain compliance with quality standards and operating procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate inventory records
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Ensure proper storage of materials, including pharmaceutical supplies and laboratory essentials
  • Follow SOPs and GMP guidelines in a regulated environment
  • Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • No previous experience required; experience with inventory management systems and warehouse operations preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers)
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50-70 lbs and work in various temperature environments
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Schedule flexibility required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in temperature-controlled environments (room temperature, cold rooms, and freezers at -22°F/-6°C)
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for a full shift, bending, reaching, and handling materials
  • Basic math skills for counting and inventory reconciliation
  • Must not have allergies to specific pharmaceuticals (where applicable)
  • PPE required: safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.
  • Able to work with hazardous/toxic materials
