Responsibilities
- Review morning inventories for potential critical issues.
- Check part status for all customers.
- Check parts owed to plants and analyze expedites needed for plants.
- Review all customers using the same part and prioritize shipments.
- Prepare shippers for early trucks and print pick list at the shipping office.
- Add shortage parts to the critical list.
- Coordinate with scheduling on required die sets and changeover to protect customers.
- Review rack status and daily rack inventory for shortages.
- Enter outbound shipments into OBL.
- Review car manifests in CMMS to find required racks.
- Check TSAA for overdue rail cars or inbound trucks.
- Review for critical shortages from plant startup.
- Inform customers via CMMS about parts out of transit.
- Check all customers for CUM disagreements and answer part shortages.
- Monitor part statuses at customers in CMMS and respond to status changes.
- Review service parts requirements for the coming week.
- Monitor shipping progress for service shipments over several days.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Manufacturing assembly and machining experience.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Safety and MP&L experience.
- Knowledge of constraint management principles.
- Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing plants.
- Material control, production control, project management skills.
- Material planning, shipping & receiving, inventory management experience.
- Scheduling, coordinating, logistics, and automotive knowledge.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $26.26 - $28.90 per hour.
