About the role
Maintain accurate inventory records, organize and track consumables and tools, and ensure materials are available to support testing, customer visits, and ongoing engineering activities.
Responsibilities
- Follow established safety procedures and maintain awareness of lab equipment, testing activities, and material handling protocols.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels for consumables, long-term stock items, fasteners, tools, and office supplies.
- Perform routine cycle counts and update the Master Inventory list.
- Track incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring all items are logged, labeled, and stored appropriately.
- Absorb and replenish supplies based on usage trends and minimum stock thresholds.
- Support tool inventory management.
- Enter and update inventory data in designated systems, spreadsheets, and logs.
- Document discrepancies, shortages, and damaged items.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for inventory records.
- Support the creation and upkeep of inventory-related procedures and documentation.
- Assist with vendor coordination for fasteners and consumables.
- Assist with Lab organization and consolidation projects.
- Help maintain cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas, supply rooms, and inventory zones.
- Stage project parts in preparation for project startups.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; an associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, administrative support, or a similar role.
- Forklift certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to follow established procedures and maintain consistent documentation.
- Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and digital tracking tools.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and internal departments.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, technical environment.
Education And Experience Requirements
