Inventory Control Supervisor - Operations
Responsibilities
- Oversees all inventory processes (cycle counts, audits, reconciliations, adjustments) to ensure high accuracy and resolve discrepancies through root cause analysis.
- Manages daily warehouse inventory operations: coordinates with warehouse functions (receiving, picking, shipping) to track inventory movement, maintain location integrity, and ensure timely transaction processing.
- Supervises and develops team: leads, trains, and evaluates inventory control staff while driving productivity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensures compliance, quality, and safety: enforces company policies, audit standards, SOPs, and safety regulations while maintaining proper documentation and addressing process gaps.
- Drives performance through data & metrics: analyzes inventory trends and KPIs (accuracy, cycle counts, variances, productivity) and reports insights to improve performance and reduce errors.
- Covers additional responsibilities:
- Coordinate employee work assignments to achieve inbound and outbound service requirements
- Maintain accurate time, attendance, and performance management records
- Maintain positive employee relations and morale
- Recommend performance management actions
- Develop and implements training certification programs and ensures warehouse employees receive training
- Establish and monitors performance standards for warehouse functions, including pick, pack, and ship
- Process returned merchandise
- Establish and monitors performance standards for equipment, assembly, housekeeping, etc.
Qualifications
- High School Degree or Equivalent required
- Fork Lift Certification preferred
- 3 years warehouse and distribution operations experience
- 1 year experience leading warehouse associates
- Ability to operate a forklift or have the ability to obtain a forklift certification
- Strong knowledge of inventory control processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management skills
- Basic computer skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to learn and use business planning systems
- Resolve problems in a timely manner under stressful situations
- Comfortable working in a team environment
- Ability to operate hand and power tools and equipment
- Anticipate and prepare for customer needs
Pay
$64,653 - $103,444 Annually

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
