About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting non-recurring activities and Warehouse Inventory Operations in preparation for SLC-3 Vulcan Activations.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing daily requests and working with client contractors and groups to provide day-to-day support.
- Utilizing data-driven decision-making for effective material forecasting and inventory functions.
- Daily interaction with cross-functional teams including procurement, Engineering, Product Operations, Quality, Test and Design, Maintenance, Warehouse, Transportation, and Management across multiple sites.
- Foster a safety-first, compliant, and quality-focused environment that meets customer requirements.
- Supporting SLC-3 execution plans to meet critical deadlines related to launch pad construction and activations.
- Communicating opportunities, issues, and discrepancies with leadership for review and resolution.
- Planning, scheduling, and monitoring the efficient movement of materials from identification of requirements to delivery.
- Actioning last-minute shipments and receipts for non-recurring activities.
- Validating and understanding planned orders for production orders or purchase requisitions.
- Complying with customer time-sensitive requests.
- Providing escort support for deliveries onto the base.
- Planning and controlling inventory of finished goods for warehouses, distribution centers, and factory mixing points to meet distribution demands.
- Analyzing inventory levels and positioning.
- Maintaining inputs to the inventory system.
- Collaborating with traffic, production planning, and warehouse personnel to ensure appropriate routing, scheduling, and storing of goods.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- A strong working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.
- Effective communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in supporting non-recurring activities and Warehouse Inventory Operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control or similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of MRP systems.
