About the role
We're seeking an organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist I to join a growing manufacturing and supply chain team. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting purchasing and planning operations, managing returns and non-conforming inventory, and ensuring data integrity within ERP systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with inventory control experience who enjoys working cross-functionally and contributing to operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Inventory Control (60%)
- Process stock adjustments and stock requests.
- Maintain inventory records and pricing files.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with year-end inventory activities.
- Analyze stock levels and inventory rotation.
- Process customer and vendor returns through the ERP system.
- Complete failure analysis documentation and coordinate disposition activities.
- Manage vendor RMA communications.
- Support inventory control activities across multiple locations.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Purchasing, Planning & Scheduling Support (30%)
- Provide backup support to purchasing team members.
- Assist with planning and scheduling activities.
- Support inventory availability and replenishment efforts.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain workflow continuity.
- Help ensure operational and customer requirements are met.
- Item Master & BOM Management (5%)
- Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Update product descriptions and item records within the ERP system.
- Support import/export compliance and Country of Origin documentation.
- Additional Responsibilities (5%)
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of inventory control, inventory management, or related supply chain experience preferred.
- Experience using ERP systems; Epicor experience is a plus.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with cycle counts, inventory audits, stock adjustments, and inventory analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred
- Associate degree or related education.
- ASCM/APICS certification or supply chain coursework.
- Experience with:
- Returns and RMA processing
- BOM creation and maintenance
- Multi-site inventory environments
- Import/export compliance
- Purchasing, planning, or scheduling support

Schedule
Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM-4:00 PM (flexibility available)
Pay
$25-$30/hour
