ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Helps maintain the accuracy of computer perpetual inventory.
- Aids in identifying and correcting variances in the computer perpetual inventory.
- Maintains oversight of and monitors inventory levels, addressing slow-moving items.
- Schedules and performs cycle counts of finished goods and bulk materials.
- Reviews and validates counts, ensuring accuracy.
- Communicates quality issues and discrepancies to relevant parties.
- Processes returns to suppliers, donations, and freight claims.
- Enters and updates information in Oracle systems and maintains records.
- Verifies and corrects lot numbers in reconciliation documents.
- Supports production by pulling product samples for various departments.
- Participates in annual cycle count audits and assists with lot trace and mass balance.
- Ensures adherence to safety and GMP requirements.
- Engages in safety training and initiatives to foster a safe work environment.
- Communicates safety information to new employees.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma, two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong background in inventory control, particularly in cycle counts, inventory investigation, returns to vendors, and scrap material handling.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Mathematical skills, including the ability to work with fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A high school diploma, two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A strong inventory control background with emphasis on cycle counts, inventory investigation, return to vendors, and scrap material handling.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate effectively with groups of customers or employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and higher math functions.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
- Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Regularly stands and/or walks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Near moving mechanical parts.
- Exposure to herbal aromas, dust, and/or airborne particles, some of which are classified as allergens or irritants.
- Exposure to ingredients (powders and liquids), mixes (powders and liquids), equipment, and packaging.
- Exposure to all of the FDA-designated major food allergens (Milk, Eggs, Fish, Crustacean shellfish, Tree nuts, Wheat, and Soybeans).
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud, and louder hearing protection is required in some areas.
