Inventory Control Specialist
Job Summary
Schedule 1st Shift - Monday - Thursday - 600 AM - 430 PM (based on business needs and job completions which could include overtime both during the week and on weekends)
About the Role
Maintains a highly accurate level of inventory control by monitoring inventory reports and processing transactions. Identifies and investigates discrepancies, and works with Operations to implement corrective actions.
Responsibilities
- Run inventory reporting daily and initiate inventory and necessary bin verifications for all locations
- Verify daily transactions including part issues, builds, transfers, and adjustments
- Research, reconcile system information to physical inventory adjustments
- Generate reports as required to back up transactions and history of product
- Monitor un-allocable locations for product that has not processed through completely for aging
- Coordinate daily inventory audits as needed
- Schedule and slot new items prior to their arrival at the warehouse
- Work with inventory space manager on new product launches and initiatives to ensure standard flow through the warehouse
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two years related experience or one year experience plus related production and inventory control courses
- Excellent analytical skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Able to lift up to 35lbs regularly
- Able to lift 35 to 45lbs occasionally
- Able to secure a PIT license for appropriate equipment within 30 days
Qualifications
- Knowledge of power industrial truck operations
- Ability to operate a company issued laptop, RF scanner, and walkie-talkie
