Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and stage materials for production two weeks in advance, following FIFO procedures
- Review inventory 2–4 weeks ahead for all SKUs scheduled for production
- Verify that Production Orders and Bills of Materials (BOM) align with Purchase Orders
- Monitor SAP for inventory shortages and component delivery timelines; communicate updates one month in advance of production
- Create Production Pull Sheets by SKU for forklift operators
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed
- Assist with distributing Pick Lists for Finished Goods shipments
- Serve as the Production Inventory Gatekeeper, advising Logistics on component pickups based on the production schedule
- Maintain accurate inventory and logistic data for daily, weekly, and quarterly reporting, including usage metrics, issue tracking, training records, and work logs
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to improve efficiency, eliminate unnecessary steps, and resolve inventory or logistics challenges
- Ensure compliance with company standards, documentation requirements, safety protocols, and legal regulations across vendors, carriers, and warehouse personnel
- Notify the Quality Department promptly when raw materials arrive for sampling
- Conduct regular component audits for Production. Provide comprehensive logistical support daily for both inbound and outbound shipments, including verifying safety procedures and overseeing quality assurance
- Operate both stand up and sit-down forklifts
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1+ year experience with a computerized inventory system
- Experience with SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and strong keyboard skills preferred
- Stand up and sit-down forklift certification preferred
