The Inventory Control Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, reliable inventory across warehouses and production operations. This role supports daily inventory management through cycle counting, reconciliation, and system transactions while maintaining strong data integrity. Working closely with warehouse, production, quality, and supply chain teammates, this position helps ensure materials are available to meet customer and operational needs. The Inventory Control Specialist investigates discrepancies, identifies root causes, and drives continuous improvement in inventory processes. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a commitment to doing what’s right. Responsibilities
- Perform daily cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and determine root causes to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Complete system transactions including transfers, adjustments, and reconciliations across locations
- Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP or warehouse management systems
- Support physical inventory processes including planning, execution, and reconciliation
- Review production schedules and shipping activity to ensure material availability
- Coordinate rework, reclaim, and slow-moving inventory processes to optimize inventory health
- Analyze transaction errors and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies
