About the role
The Inventory Control Specialist supports management to accomplish Eaton’s overall objectives of providing on-time delivery of quality products. This role ensures personnel comply with company policies and performance/productivity levels.
Responsibilities
- Perform root cause analysis on troubled inventory
- Locate lost inventory items
- Understand inputs and outputs of inventory systems
- Conduct cycle counting as needed
- Work autonomously without direct supervision
- Coordinate with team lead, inventory workers, and material handlers to resolve issues
- Effectively use ERP systems and basic Microsoft applications (e.g., Excel)
- Collaborate cross-functionally across plants
- Operate forklift and electric pallet jack as needed
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future
- Must live within 50 miles of the Richmond, VA location (Active Duty Military Service members exempt from geographical limitation)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a warehouse environment
- Prior experience with Microsoft applications
Skills
- Basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Compute rate, ratio, and percent; draw and interpret graphs and charts
- Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Solve complex practical problems
