Inventory Control Specialist 1

About the Role

As an Inventory Control Specialist 1, you will report to 1583 Alum Creek Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43209 and perform property and accountability functions for the Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS).

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, track, transport, and ship/distribute assets, items, and records under the direction of the supervisor/lead worker.
• Perform property and accountability functions for existing and newly acquired ODPS property, including:
  • Identifying assets
  • Generating and affixing DPS barcode labels on assets
  • Performing inventory verification of assets
  • Entering inventory information into the inventory tracking system
• Verify processes and assist with transport of items to DAS State Surplus for salvage of assets deemed not damaged, obsolete, or unserviceable by ODPS.
• Create and maintain existing ODPS Asset Management files and records.

Requirements

• 9 months of training or 9 months of experience in inventory control, or equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
