Inventory Control Quality Assurance Specialist (Warehouse)

About the role

The Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) Specialist performs cycle counting of floor pick and warehouse reserve locations using computers, handheld devices, and forms. The role includes verifying product lot and date codes, auditing paperwork, handling obsolete inventory, researching and resolving variances, and supporting buyer requests for item checks and internal transfers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate cycle counts of inventory locations using appropriate tools and update system records
• Research and process problem pallets and unlocated inventory
• Identify errors and log them as directed by supervision
• Validate product dating in the warehouse and update as required
• Perform daily audits of inbound receiving
• Identify and complete root‑cause research of variances; report errors to Operations partners
• Respond to buyer requests for item checks and internal code‑to‑code transfers
• Coordinate handling of obsolete and at‑risk inventory (vendor returns, donations, recalls): identify, communicate, adjust, and validate product
• Research and resolve inventory variances
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 2‑5 years of related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Shift: 1st shift (United States)
• Travel required: No

Qualifications

• General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School Diploma

Skills

• Experience with warehouse and inventory management systems and software preferred
• Physical abilities: required to stand, walk, bend, reach, pull, stoop, grip, carry, and lift objects from 20 lbs to 60 lbs
