Inventory Control Manager II
About the Role
To provide senior leadership, direction, and strategy for the Inventory Control team, enabling the execution of commercial and operational deliverables as per the client service agreement. This role involves developing key customer relationships and operational partnerships to foster continuous improvement and operational excellence in inventory control management.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time to meet customer demand and maintain service level agreements.
- Improve overall inventory accuracy, accountability, and reporting by implementing best practice processes and procedures.
- Minimize and mitigate risk exposure to DHL and the client by enhancing focus on inventory control and its financial benefits.
- Set the strategic direction for supply chain and solution initiatives related to Inventory Control and Inventory Planning.
- Develop proactive strategies to anticipate and mitigate issues and risks in inventory control and client asset management.
- Innovate methods for data analysis and apply them to inventory control and asset management.
- Ensure adherence to Inventory Control KPIs outlined in the commercial agreement.
- Monitor and report customer inventory control accuracy and shrink contractual requirements/service level agreements to site leadership.
- Maximize site inventory process and system performance, ensuring care, custody, and control of customer inventory, accuracy, and proper utilization of information technology.
- Provide required documentation to customers, auditors, or regulatory bodies for compliance.
- Manage site hourly and exempt associates, conduct performance reviews, and ensure company policies are communicated and enforced.
- Take an active leadership role in managing turnover.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 4+ years of Inventory Control experience.
- 3+ years of logistics industry experience.
- 3+ years of management experience (unit pick environment, large company preferred).
- 1+ years of client relationship, staff management, and objective-setting experience.
- Experience in metric development and reporting across cross-functional leadership.
- Knowledge of systems such as JDA, Manhattan WMS, DMPLUS, SAP, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to the audience.
Pay
The national salary range for this role is $70,000 - $115,000. For roles within California, the range is $70,304 - $115,000, and in Washington, it is $80,169 - $115,000.
