Inventory Control Manager II

National salary range: $70,000 - $115,000. California range: $70,304 - $115,000; Washington range: $80,169 - $115,000.

About the role

Provide senior leadership, direction, and strategy for the Inventory Control team to enable and facilitate the execution of commercial and operational deliverables relative to the service agreement with the client. Develop and progress key customer relationships and operational partnerships to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence in inventory control management.

Responsibilities

Customer

• Monitor and report customer inventory control accuracy and shrink contractual requirements/service level agreements to site leadership.
• Maximize performance of site inventory processes and systems to ensure:
  • Care, custody, and control of customer inventory.
  • Accuracy (to floor and customer book).
  • Proper utilization of information technology.
• Provide required documentation to the customer, their financial statement auditor, or appropriate regulatory auditor in support of compliance requirements.

Associate

• Ensure a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment for associates.
• Manage site hourly and exempt associates.
• Conduct associate performance reviews, individual development plans, and succession plans.
• Communicate, administer, and enforce company policies at appropriate levels.
• Take an active leadership role in managing turnover to the appropriate level.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 4+ years of Inventory Control experience.
• 3+ years of logistics industry experience.
• 3+ years of management experience (unit pick environment, large company preferred).
• 1+ years of client relationship, staff management, and objective-setting experience.
• Experience with staff management and objective setting.
• Experience with metric development and reporting across cross-functional leadership.
• Knowledge of systems such as JDA, Manhattan WMS, DMPLUS, SAP, etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to the audience.
