About the Role

A qualified candidate must demonstrate the following capabilities:

  • Organization: Prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes by coordinating work across teams. Ability to participate in training and oversee daily responsibilities.
  • Communication: Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with internal contacts.
  • Technical: Efficiently research transactions through internal systems. Accurately enter data in Excel to record physical inventory results and report discrepancies.
  • Problem-Solving & Investigative Skills: Analyze system transactions to determine the cause of inventory discrepancies. Investigate and identify operational gaps in processes or procedures leading to discrepancies. Coordinate with peers and across multiple buildings for additional resources, information, and equipment when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, assign, and distribute daily workloads and tasks to counters and coordinators to achieve throughput targets.
  • Facilitate onboarding, hands-on training, and ongoing coaching for counters and coordinators.
  • Monitor work quality, identify operational and counting errors, and deliver constructive feedback to team members and warehouse operations.
  • Resolve low-level workplace conflicts per company policy, escalating complex issues to leadership.
  • Oversee and conduct regular cycle counts.
  • Perform and coordinate physical inventory with counters.
  • Investigate complex inventory discrepancies, perform root-cause analysis, and execute necessary quantity or location adjustments within authorized threshold limits.
  • Monitor and assign case queues (e.g., Salesforce) for prompt resolution, serving as the primary backup for the Supervisor on queue management.
  • Support external audits independently or with minimal supervisory guidance.
  • Extract and compile basic inventory reports for the PI.
  • Submit, review, and track inventory work and case approval requests in compliance with company control standards.
  • Maintain active communication with Supervisors and Managers regarding case progress, large inventory variances, and potential task bottlenecks.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in warehousing, distribution, or a similar field, with time spent in a related role such as Team Lead or equivalent.
  • Emphasis on Inventory/Quality Control preferred.
  • General familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook (email management).
  • Ability to operate and/or become certified to operate a Cherry Picker/Order Picker.
