Must have skills
- Material Handling Equipment expertise
- Inventory control experience
- Forklift certification is preferred
- Experience with all kinds of power equipment for warehouse operations
- Working knowledge for Microsoft Suite (especially Excel)
- Working knowledge of MRP systems
Teachable skills
- Oracle system
Technology Requirements

What does a typical day look like?
(daily tasks): Cycle count operations, inventory discrepancies investigations and root causes, operations of power equipment and working in a team environment

Position Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for daily inventory management tasks, monitoring inventory aging, and facilitating the cycle count program. This role also represents support for internal and external observations/audits related to inventory control and compliance.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Facilitates the cycle count program and performs cycle counts and research as needed to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Drives metrics, runs reports and compiles/presents as needed for Warehouse department.
- Maintains storage areas and other warehouse areas in a neat, clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Complete housekeeping and area organization audits.
- Perform data entry and prepare documentation as needed.
- Monitor aging inventory items and lots including expiration management.
- Strategize and execute plans to address space constraints and improve capacity.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Interact with internal and external auditors to explain documentation and processes.
- Collaborate with Material Handling and Manufacturing regarding transactional functions in the ERP system, such as material identification, quantity verification, and put-away locations.
- Perform data entry and prepare documentation as needed.

- Complete housekeeping and area organization audits.
- Perform other job duties as assigned by the manager, supervisor, or group leader.
- Flexibility on the working hours/shifts and overtime (weekends).
Physical Demands
- Stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Lifting/pushing/pulling and carrying products weighing up to 45 pounds
- Potential Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration and/or moderate noise levels.
- Potential Exposure to hazardous chemicals or other materials.
Safety
- Safety Shoes compliant with site specific policies/procedures must be worn in designated areas.
