Inventory Control Clerk
About the role
Samson, the worldwide leader in high performance cordage, is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk who will be responsible for assuring the accuracy of raw material, finished goods, packaging and hardware inventory housed in multiple warehouses.
The Inventory Control Clerk will conduct regular cycle counts and works closely with warehouse management to research and reconcile discrepancies to maintain inventory integrity. They will also provide recommendations to management on improvement to inventory practices based on data trends from cycle counts and resolve shipping discrepancies and include management when needed.
Responsibilities
- Utilize computer terminal to receive deliveries and to properly account for inventory issues, returns, and documentation.
- Trace history of items based on cycle counts to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommend remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Perform inventory adjustments within the ERP system to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Accurately input inventory control data to ensure inventory integrity.
- Use the established cycle count procedure to count and reconcile randomly chosen or chosen part numbers and/or locations daily.
- Complete necessary documentation thoroughly, accurately, and on-time.
- Prepare Cycle Count reporting documents and monthly report on inventory analysis.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years of experience in a warehouse environment, with some responsibility in inventory control
- Experienced user of ERP software (Syspro preferred)
- Able to understand and read written policies and guidelines, specifications, and safety standards to ensure compliance to warehouse and inventory processes and procedures
- Familiar with modern warehousing practices and methods
- Clear and concise communicator in both written and oral form
- Team player who works well with a diverse group of individuals and can build relationships with coworkers
- Safety conscious with the ability to continuously be aware of your surroundings given the nature of work driving forklifts
- Proficient computer user with basic skills in Microsoft Office with the ability to effectively write routine reports, correspondence, and analyze data
- Able to manage time effectively by prioritizing/managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment with strict deadlines
- Comfortable lifting 10-25 pounds frequently, 25-50 pounds occasionally, and seldomly lift 50-60

Pay
Targeted hiring range: $23.50 - $25.50/hour. Hiring Rate Will Depend On Qualifications And Experience. The full range for this position is min: $20.52 - $30.78. Increases within range provided upon skill development and time in position.
