Inventory Control Clerk

About the role

We are seeking a Full Time Inventory Clerk to join Produce Innovations, a local, family-owned food and produce distributor with over 130 years of experience serving the Midwest region.

Responsibilities

• Managed inventory control, production planning, procurement, and monthly cycle counts
• Analyzed inventory levels, coordinated with purchasing and vendors, resolved inventory discrepancies, tracked work-in-process, ensured timely material availability, monitored manufacturing performance, and collaborated across departments to optimize production efficiency, control costs, and meet production schedules
• Navigated the warehouse, received/unloaded inbound freight, and used warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts
• Maintained a clean and organized work environment
• All other assigned duties

Requirements

• Previous inventory – shipping and receiving experience with manufacturing preferred but no required
• Warehouse and pallet jack experience preferred
• Able to work in a refrigerated environment for 8+ hours
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 75+ lbs. occasionally
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to take direction from all levels of management
• Able to work independently within a team setting

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely operate warehouse equipment at all times and follow all safety guidelines
• Receive/Unload inbound freight and put away
• Accurately select and pack orders for shipment, both internally and externally
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• All other assigned duties
