About the Role
The Inventory Control Clerk maintains records of parts in inventory and on order, provides data for forecasting estimates and scheduling parts needs, and ensures inventory records are continuously current. The role involves notifying supervisors when stock reaches designated order points or when ordered parts are past scheduled delivery dates, preparing routine inventory reports, and operating terminal consoles and related equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain records of parts in inventory and on order.
- Provide data to forecast estimates and schedules of parts in process and future needs.
- Notify supervisor when stock reaches designated order point.
- Notify appropriate personnel when inventory reaches order point or when ordered parts are past scheduled delivery date.
- Prepare routine inventory reports.
- Operate a terminal console and other related equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Clerical experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience dealing with the public in a sales or service capacity.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Computer skills preferred.
