Inventory Control Clerk
About the role
The Inventory Control Clerk will maintain the organization's inventory, ordering and supplying necessary items while maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
Responsibilities
- Receive, store, and distribute materials, supplies and equipment.
- Maintains accurate records of received and distributed items.
- Inspect deliveries for discrepancies and resolve any issues with suppliers.
- Compares information on requisitions, invoices and shipping notices to material received or issued to verify accuracy of order.
- Completes regular audits and counts of inventory, reporting and resolving discrepancies; assist with period physical inventory audits.
- Prepares requests for procurement of materials.
- May mark identifying information on material.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Operates forklift truck when necessary.
- Performs other related duties as requested.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-year previous experience in same or similar position.
- Knowledge of materials and hardware handling.
- Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
- Able to complete basic math calculations.
- Able to work with the Microsoft Office suite of software including Excel and Word.
- Experience with Epicor or other ERP.
- Experience in Forklift operations and ability to be certified as a Karman driver a must.
Qualifications
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, certain positions may require applicants to be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C.1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C.1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
