Inventory Control Clerk

Responsible for all aspects of inventory control, ensuring inventory accuracy, reducing inventory levels and risk exposure, and maintaining compliance with Ferraro Foods’ policies and procedures. Reports to Warehouse Management.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cycle counts, including research and reconciliation of discrepancies, driver shorts, out-of-stocks, and randoms
• 100% utilization of IDS/ERP system and radio frequency scanners
• Track and report inventory needs; communicate incoming material discrepancies to Inventory Control Manager
• Notify purchasing and sales of near-expiration and short-dated product regularly
• Conduct receipt/inventory reconciliation and research inventory discrepancies
• Process inventory adjustments and ensure accuracy of receipt storage
• Use Powerhouse systems and check quality of produce
• Identify split cases needed for next-day shipping and ensure completion by end of day
• Manage storage and conduct date-sensitive checks in Retalix
• Perform daily counts of core cheese and protein items
• Locate new rack space for products

Requirements

• Analytical and detail-oriented
• Extensive experience with Excel and spreadsheet management
• Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Minimum two years prior warehouse or related experience
• Basic experience in MS Word and Excel; working knowledge of inventory control systems and processes
• Good writing skills
• Prior food industry experience is a plus

Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – Finish
