Inventory Control Clerk

About the role
We are looking for an Inventory Control Specialist responsible for counting parts and controlling the accuracy of inventory at HillPhoenix. This role involves establishing, maintaining, and implementing inventory location plans, as well as controlling, inspecting, and locating materials and inventory in the plant.
Responsibilities
- Cycle count parts and control accuracy of inventory
- Evaluate potential parts shortages and participate in all physical inventory tasks
- Assist with corrective actions on part shortages and report inventory discrepancies
- Implement, maintain, and establish new inventory location plans as needed
- Ensure all items are properly located, stored, and identified
- Control, inspect, and locate materials and inventory in the plant, including:
- Unloading incoming freight
- Moving materials from the receiving dock to production lines
- Transferring production from the Fabrication department to production lines
- Moving finished goods from production lines to the shipping dock
- Loading outgoing freight
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of inventory storage locations and the physical plant (e.g., keeping aisles, docks, and work areas free of debris)
- Perform material handling duties, including driving a forklift, shipping truck, hand truck, etc.
- Must have prompt and regular attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must be familiar with parts and products
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of inventory control/audit experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Forklift license required
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience in auditing processes and products
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Ability to read and perform above-average math skills
- Knowledge of parts and products produced
- Above-average computer skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and accurately in checking and counting
- Strong teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift truck certification
- AS400 experience
- Trainable and computer literate
