Inventory Control Clerk
Responsibilities
- Follow through with inbound and outbound inventory.
- Review daily reports for proper inventory status.
- Review all credits - shorts, mis-picks, damaged goods, and out-of-stock items.
- Communicate with warehouse personnel, the Purchasing department, and the Accounts Payable department.
- Rectify Accounts Payable issues.
- Inventory slot reconciliations.
- Check all aisles including floor and push-back rack for loose items and return them to their correct location.
- Look for open or damaged wrapping and returned merchandise to the appropriate slot.
- Communicate with coworkers and managers to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.
- Process outbound freight.
- Complete inventory audits.
- Perform basic housekeeping in both the warehouse and office areas when needed.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-4 years of experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), Inventory software and spreadsheet software.
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to identify and count products.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Experience using an order picker and electric pallet jack preferred.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift up to 50lbs and/or move up to 100lbs.
- Frequently you will need to stand, walk, reach, sit, stoop, kneel, and crawl.
- The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 50lbs and/or move up to 100lbs.
- Must be available to work overtime.
About the Role
This role will be responsible for controlling the inventory during the inbound and outbound process of freight in the distribution center.
Compensation & Benefits
- The pay range for this role is $20.67-$24.04 per hour.
- This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors.
