Job Description Summary Job Description The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for performing basic physical inventory and systematic inventory control functions that relate to the daily needs of the business in order to support the production environment. The Inventory Control Clerk ensures the accuracy of inventory as well as the preservation of the condition of materials in storage, handling, and transportation. Job Description Processes and input all PO receipts into SAP including in-transit materialBe responsible for entering material movement data within SAP systemMaintain a good working relationship with internal customers by responding to all inquiries and complaints concerning receipts, invoices, shipments, inventory counts, etc. in a courteous and efficient mannerOrganize and maintain a clean and organized work area at all timesSchedule incoming deliveries from suppliers and carriersReceive and unload incoming materials and compares information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy of shipmentsBe responsible for labeling of incoming goods before storageMaintain the correct quantities of inventory for the warehouseReceive orders from customers and fills them in a timely mannerInspect shipments for damages or defects. Records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or QA departmentSort, count, packages, ensures proper labeling, unpacks and/or logs inventory that is shipped, received or kittedMaintain Key Performance Indicators related to the inventory control processesAbility to work overtimeComply with all safety rules and regulationsExhibit continuous improvement-oriented behavior
