Inventory Control Associate
About the role
The Inventory Control Associate plays a crucial part in helping to Build America by auditing inventory, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with internal control procedures.
Responsibilities
- Audit inventory to keep systems in balance during daily order processing.
- Research and resolve all issues, adjustments, and discrepancies.
- Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures.
- Maintains inventory accuracy.
- Completes and reviews cycle counts.
- Maintains time control tables consistent with base tables, key and review allocations.
- Receives products from vendors to check for quality.
- Communicates potential quality issues to buyers.
- Maintains quality control and inventory control manuals.
- Lifts and carries up to 50 pounds.
- Follows company safety policy and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Generally has 2-5 years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle.
- Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Bilingual-Spanish is a plus.
