About the role
Reporting to the Inventory Manager, the Inventory Control Associate is responsible for assisting with the maintenance of accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations on the 2nd shift from 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm. This role involves conducting inventory audits, identifying discrepancies, and collaborating with warehouse and procurement teams to optimize inventory control processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Update, track and record inventory movements using the company's inventory management system.
- Generate reports on stock levels, discrepancies, and product movement.
- Investigate and resolve stock issues or discrepancies, reporting any inconsistencies to the Distribution Center Inventory Manager.
- Absorb and assist with product movements and all racking reconfigurations/labeling to accommodate the product movements as needed or directed by management.
- Process and ensure efficient handling of consolidated vendor returns.
- Contact manufacturers for authorization to return non-stock & overstock items.
- File defective goods claim with reps or manufacturers as required.
- Follow-up with vendors or reps on return goods authorizations or credits not received.
- Absorb and assist with troubleshooting and minor fixes of Exotec system.
- Absorb and assist with Cubiscan data and processes as directed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations or logistics.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to problem solve.
- Strong computer knowledge and skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools such as ERP systems, WMS, etc.
